Ideklinz Reads It

I'm addicted to reading and buying books. It's a real sickness but one that I love to feed! Hopefully I can read and review. I usually post my book addiction on my blog as well: http://bookdevotees.wordpress.com/

This Is What Happy Looks Like

This is What Happy Looks Like - Jennifer E. Smith I liked this--cute premise, and I mean doesn't every girl wish she could have the celebrity fall for her? I like the backstory of her mom too which helped her understand what kind of decisions to make about this situation. And Graham was adorable :)
The Prince (The Original Sinners) - Tiffany Reisz Ok. I just finished and I'm not going to do anything rash because it's a fresh wound, open like Søren has given to his many subs. Ugh! I need The Mistress now. There's so much love and torture in this book you don't even understand! Read it!!!! Is it July?! Seriously, she's killing me!
The Angel (The Original Sinners) - Tiffany Reisz I read The Siren last summer(?) I think, and truly loved it. Fictitious BDSM that's written WELL and ACCURATE is hard to find these days, but Tiffany knows her shit. Sorry, I'm channeling my inner-Nora. I bought both The Angel and The Prince as soon as they were available, but took a break for a while and am now back. This storyline is fun! The characters are great and despite it sounding like not your cup of tea to read about, you might want to think again. The characters truly surprise you. Pick this up and read it for sure! Cannot wait to read the rest of the series :)
Smart Girls Get What They Want - Sarah Strohmeyer I liked this book. Cute and easy read. Definitely some smartypants to read about and I'm glad the girls got more involved--life's too short if you don't make your time rewarding. Studying is important but not being better than being well rounded. Mike rulez and Will droolz, btw ;)
Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell I really enjoyed this book. Eleanor & Park's love is really amazing to have at that age. Honestly, the ending doesn't sit well with me but if you know me, you'd understand why. I would love to see this story extended :)

The Program

The Program - Suzanne Young This book was really great!! So happy I was able to read an advanced copy! It's got twist and turns and I really recommend reading it. Very excited for the next book. Sorry the review is vague but I don't want to write spoilers, just know that when it's in stores pick up a copy for sure!!
Hopeless - Colleen Hoover That was a seriously intense book and didn't see the turn of event coming. But despite the rough topic at hand, let's remember Smolder, I mean, Holder and how comforting he was. I'd say he's as equally strong at Sky AND Karen.
Bonus Scene (Hopeless, #1.5) - Colleen Hoover Holder. POV. First not-making-this-our-first-kiss scene. Dear god.
Just One Day - Gayle Forman I related to Allyson a lot ironically--still at 26, finding myself in life with a controlling mother. HA! What are the odds? But overall a great story to read. The only thing I'm freaking about is reading Just One Year and hoping the last few pages of Just One Day are extended. I need some answers. And duh--of course more Willem. Is it October yet?!
Unravel Me - Tahereh Mafi That was intense. I'm completely torn too. Just torn. That's about as much of a review as you'll get. Torn.

Requiem

Requiem - I liked it a lot but the ending fell a little flat. I was really hoping for a little more depth as to what happens to all parties. An epilogue would've worked nicely...although I did enjoy the bonus Alex insight #favorite
Looking for Alaska - John Green I love John Green's works, I really do. The adventures of Pudge, the Colonel, Alaska, & Takumi were fun--reading things like this make me miss being a carefree teen. Their friendships while not always easy at times, were enjoyable to read. Having a fascination with last words is kinda a cool hobby. I def recommend reading this
Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn This was for sure a roller coaster ride. I thoroughly recommend picking it up and reading it.
Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend - Cassie Mae, Becca Ann Ok, overall the book was cute. There were however, hang ups that I just could not get over. The author did not do a very good job of writing from a male POV. Honestly, just because you're writing from a guy's POV it doesn't mean they naturally just say "dude" a lot. It's used numerous times, even when Brody thinks. Idk, the thoughts and actions were not always how a guy reacts. It's a real drawback to the story because the language throws you off. And Hayley, her character was relatable in many ways but I thought some of her "cute" sayings were over the top. I'm just being honest with my review. The story was decent to read but I was just turned off by Brody's POV.
Easy - Tammara Webber Really enjoyed this book a lot. Today's society has such an awful view on rape and it was fantastic to read about some stand-up guys who give a shit about protecting women or teaching them to protect themselves. Also Lucas is a bad boy dream guy :)*One thing I didn't like: anyone can get raped--virgin or not. A few characters had used this as an excuse of how it couldn't be rape if that person wasnt a virgin. That's the worst excuse ever. Man, woman, child, gay, straight, virgin, or not. You can get raped.
Where She Went - Gayle Forman Thank god the ending was for my approval. Sorry if that's too spoiler-y for you. I loved Adam's POV in this book and extremely happy things had moved on. No repetitiveness in this book with the other.
